Cassidy R. Correia (Secretary)
Cassidy R. Correia is a second year student at Quinnipiac University studying to attain a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Medical Studies. Motivated to become a surgeon, she recently attended an undergraduate medical fellowship in Ourense, Spain where she shadowed physicians and volunteered in a local hospital. Cassidy is also an undergraduate research assistant for a laboratory studying Vaccine Misconceptions.
Cassidy worked for Northeast Maritime Institute as an intern from May 2013 to August 2018. She worked to build the primary structure of courses in an online software so that the Institute is able to offer online and blended courses. In addition, she worked as a Campus Ambassador for Atlantis, the program through which she attended her fellowship, where she shares her experience and works with the company to improve prospective fellow outreach and enroll more students. Cassidy also serves as the Foundation’s secretary.

Angela M. Dawicki (Treasurer)
Angela Dawicki currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer of Northeast Maritime Institute, Inc. She and Eric Dawicki are the owners and incorporators of Northeast Maritime Institute, having purchased the company in 1995. Over the past twenty (20) years, Mrs. Dawicki has served many roles at NMI, including maritime course curriculum development, most importantly during the transition of NMI from a self-study computer training facility into a full service maritime education and training school, offering U.S. Coast Guard approved courses. She was also responsible for implementing the ISO Quality Management System at NMI in 2008, and has served as the Quality Manager since that time under its ISO certification (currently ISO 9001:2008). Most recently, she was involved with the design, testing and implementation of a complete campus management software, which provides a management tool for the full student life cycle.
Mrs. Dawicki also serves as Vice President of Dominica Maritime Registry, Inc., which manages the Office of Maritime Affairs for the Commonwealth of Dominica’s Maritime Administration, including vessel registrations, technical services, inspections, regulatory services and mariner licensing and certification. She and Eric Dawicki are the owners and incorporators of Dominica Maritime Registry, Inc., assuming full ownership in 2014. In her sixteen (16) years with Dominica Maritime Registry, Mrs. Dawicki has been responsible for the development, implementation and management of the registry’s mariner and vessel database, which provides DMRI with the ability to maintain a complete vessel and mariner registry as well as produce the necessary registration, trade and licensing certificates to be issued to clients. Mrs. Dawicki was also responsible for implementing the ISO Quality Management System at NMI in 2008, and has served as the Quality Manager since that time under its ISO certification (currently ISO 9001:2008). She has been involved with the mariner licensing division’s in-service training and education design to meet international requirements.
From 1994 - 1995, Mrs. Dawicki served as a Project Manager in the Biomaterials Research Division of the Dept. of Orthopedics at Tulane Medical School. She was responsible for managing multiple projects related to implant design and implementation. She was responsible for calculating results from each research project, planning, budgeting and preparing final project reports to be presented in professional publications and symposiums.
Mrs. Dawicki holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree from Tulane University.
Eric R. Dawicki
Eric R. Dawicki
Mr. Eric R. Dawicki, MPA has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Northeast Maritime Institute since 1995. He also currently serves as the Commonwealth of Dominica International Maritime Registry President and CEO. He has served in both the United States Coast Guard Reserve and the United States Merchant Marine. He attended Arkansas State University and The American University.
During his tenure at Northeast Maritime Institute, Mr. Dawicki has been responsible for overseeing its growth from an exam preparation facility to a full-service Maritime Education and Training Institution, providing quality education to mariners at all levels. He created a vision and follow through for NMI to become the first private maritime college in the United States and has recently developed the concept and architecture the most comprehensive online learning management system in the world for mariners to receive compliance training for the International Convention on Standards of Training and Certification for Watchkeepers and Seafarer’s (STCW).
Mr. Dawicki has advised numerous shipping companies, government agencies and industry associations on regulatory trends and compliance programs. Mr. Dawicki is regarded as a leader of industry and has also participated on numerous delegations at IMO Committee meetings and subcommittee meetings annually since 1996. He continues to serve as the lead delegate on Government delegations to the United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO).
As President of the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Registry, a full-service International Ship Registry, Mr. Dawicki is responsible for overseeing all vessel-related services, including technical, statutory, inspection, registration, corporate and manning certification services. This includes the implementation of international regulatory and legal instruments as they apply to each vessel, its crew and its owners and operators.
Mr. Dawicki has been a member of the Board of Governors and an Executive Governor for the IMO’s World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden and served as the Chairman of the 30 year Feasibility Study on behalf of the International Maritime Organization. Mr. Dawicki also sits on the Board of Trustees for the United States Coast Guard Foundation as a “Lifetime Trustee” or Emeritus Trustee. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Sail Training Association and was Co-Chairman of the Board. He was also an Executive Committee Member of the Board of Directors for the International Maritime Lecturers Association through 2001, a World Maritime University industry association. Mr. Dawicki also served a full tenure as a member of the United States Maritime Security Advisory Committee post 9/11 under both the Bush and Obama Administrations.

Hannah E. Dawicki
Hannah is a recent alumni of American University in Washington, D.C., where she received a Bachelor in International Studies with a minor in Communications. Hannah’s studies were focused on global equality and development, sustainability and global peace and security.
At Tabor Academy, where she attended high school, Hannah was a part of the Elizabeth Taber Foundation, helping students organize fundraisers on campus, advising students on fundraising strategies, and determining monetary donation to the fundraisers.
At American University, Hannah spent one year as president of the American University chapter of Nourish International. In this role, Hannah organized meetings, fundraising events and volunteer initiatives.
Currently, Hannah is a Catalyzer for the non-profit Rockflower, where she aids in generating annual plans for supporting Rockflower and Rockflower partner initiatives and runs fundraising events. Hannah has a strong passion for helping people within her interpersonal relationships, her community, and on the global scale.
Lauren V. Dawicki

Lauren is attending the New School in New York City for her undergraduate education. She is pursing a degree in culture and media with a minor in gender studies. The New School is highly focused on social justice which has allowed Lauren become an advocate for issues that matter most to her such as human rights, equality, and sustainability.
Being in New York City has had an immense impact on how Lauren interacts with the world every day. With inspiration on every corner and being surrounded by driven, passionate peers, Lauren is committed to making change and using her voice to amplify issues that are close to her heart.
Morgan G. Dawicki

Morgan G. Dawicki
Morgan graduated from George Washington University in Spring 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a concentration in Conflict Resolution. During that same year, he took over as President of the Northeast Maritime Institute Foundation.
In the summer of 2016, he completed a summer internship at the State Department in the OES Bureau’s Office of Policy and Public Outreach. Since the summer of 2017, Morgan has served part-time as Captain aboard S/V Fritha, a traditionally rigged brigantine. In 2018, Morgan was a Fellow of Nautical Science at Tabor Academy, teaching nine Nautical Science courses in various subjects. Since 2018, Morgan has also served as the Director of International Relations for the Dominica Maritime Registry.
He has a passion for the maritime field and public service.
